    NDIS Frequently Asked Questions

NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It provides support to people with a disability, their families and carers. It is jointly governed and funded by the States and Territories within Australia. NDIS is about giving people with disability the choice and control over the supports that meet their needs, with the appropriate funding available to make this happen.

It covers the needs of people with disability up to the age of 65.

It can provide assistance in a wide variety of areas determined by meetings with planners and other people who are there to advocate on your behalf.

NDIS funding is determined by your planner and will aim to:

    • help set out how you will achieve your individual goals and aspirations
    • help with your social and/or economic participation
    • help to maintain your informal supports

Opendoor can provide the supports you need in line with the areas funded in your plan. We can also assist with reviewing the details of your plan, and identify areas where you may you need different levels of funding.

Opendoor became a NDIS Registered provider in 2018.

We are able to support you in implementing your NDIS plan, and help you to understand what supports are available to you. We guide you in accessing the services you need to help you reach your goals.

If you currently have an NDIS plan and am looking for a new provider,  please get in contact with us and we can discuss how we can help you.
