We are thrilled to share that our Workforce Australia team, led by Opendoor’s Ozlem, recently partnered with TME Training to deliver the Warehouse Skillset Program in Coburg North. This five-day hands-on program helps people to learn a spectrum of skills and tools which sets them up to work in this in-demand industry. The program focuses on supporting people to:
- build practical warehouse skills.
- gain industry recognised competencies.
- connect directly with employers and with peers.
- find familiarity and comfort of working in real workplace environments.
- grow in confidence, professionally and personally.
Participants completing this program gain the following components:
✔ TLID0020 – Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
✔ TLIL0007 – Complete workplace induction procedures
✔ TLIK2010 – Use infotechnology devices in the workplace
✔ TLILIC0003 – Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck
Success from the recent program delivery in Coburg North
The Employer Engagement Day created direct pathways to employment. Participants had the opportunity to make connections with employers and to take part in onsite interviews. Excitingly, and most importantly, the program has already resulted in participants receiving job placements!
