This pre-accredited introductory course is designed as a pre-employment program for civil construction labourer employment opportunities in metropolitan and regional Victoria. This course will provide job seekers with immediate skills, a direct pathway to employment in the civil construction industry, and/or a pathway into accredited career opportunities or training. The course will develop learners’ knowledge of the civil construction sector and how to obtain a White Card Certification. The course will familiarise learners with the vocabulary and terms used in the civil construction workplace, workplace culture, workplace expectations, cultural characteristics of the Australian workplace and the National Employment Standards.
