About
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30125) covers the basics of childhood development and caring for children. You will gain the skills and expertise to provide quality education in an early childhood setting, helping educators to provide a healthy, safe and caring environment for children. The qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. They support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements or prerequisites for this qualification. You will be enrolled in a qualification at the level appropriate to your needs. You will need to complete a Pre-Training Review, including a language, literacy and numeracy assessment, to identify if strategies need to be developed to assist you during your study.

*If a background check returns an unacceptable record, the student will be ineligible to complete the course or find employment in this industry, and therefore, they will not be enrolled in this qualification.

Delivery
This course is delivered face to face in a classroom setting and includes a blend of interactive workshops conducted either on campus or virtually via Zoom. Learners are given opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge through practical, industry based simulated activities as well as workplace participation.
The program is designed to run over an estimated 42 tuition weeks (excluding holidays), providing adequate time for learners to develop the required competencies for each unit.
A total of 160 hours of work placement is required in a suitable workplace. All placements will be approved only with approved, registered education and care service providers.
