11/12/2020

Opendoor recently celebrated our Learn Local achievements in supporting learners engage with education through the Skills First Reconnect program.

On 7 December, Opendoor had the pleasure of welcoming Parliamentary Secretary for Training and Skills, Western Melbourne, Mr Cesar Melhem to our Metro West office in Footscray. This was to celebrate Opendoor’s Learn Local achievements in supporting learners engage with education through the Skills First Reconnect program. In line with current Government COVID19 restrictions, we also welcomed Alana Chilcott and Hasan Hotic, who are ACFE students at Opendoor and representatives of Opendoor’s Training division, Branka Stevanovic and Bruce Vu.

We would like to thank the Department of Education & Training for giving Opendoor the opportunity to continue our commitment in delivering the Skills First Reconnect program across Melbourne’s west in 2021. Since 2017, Opendoor has assisted over 250 students within the Skills First Reconnect program by providing holistic, wrap around services and supporting people experiencing various barriers access further education, training or employment, and enable them to succeed and break the cycle of disadvantage.
